Leighton Meester recently opened up when she is eying to release her eponymous debut album “Leighton Meester“. “I’m thinking maybe sometime in February or March,” she said when referring to release date of her album. “And then I’ll have a little bit of time to tour and really get into it and do a live show.” In early 2010, Leighton Meester indeed will have more time as her TV series “Gossip Girl” will take a break during that time.

Most recently, Leighton performed Robin Thicke-featuring single “Somebody to Love” at KISS FM’s Jingle Ball in Los Angeles over the weekend. Also, she will be hosting Y100 Jingle Ball concert along with Adam Lambert this Saturday, December 12 at the Atlantic Bank Center in Miami.

Earlier this month, Leighton Meester hit the studio with Lil Wayne, recording a duet song called “Make It Rain”. On other material, she shared there is one called “You’re Not as Cool as You Think You Are” which is described as a “Katy Perry meets, like, Regina Spektor.”
